The organization also delivers some province-wide health services and supports centralized administrative and business functions for Manitoba health organizations. Position Overview Reporting to the Director of the Multiple Sclerosis Clinic the incumbent: Educates patients and families regarding the MS Monitoring System Initiative. Educates new Neurology Unit Clerks regarding the initiative and related processes. Ensures that appropriate data collection forms and devices are distributed to patients. Responds to questions from patients as they complete forms and assists patients in completing these forms as needed due to physical or cognitive impairments. Ensures that physician reported information is complete and up to date. Follows-up with physicians to obtain and enter missing information as needed. Acts as communication link for the MS Clinic and Manitoba Health. Responds to queries from regarding data collection including error checking. Maintains supplies for the initiative, compiles statistical information and performs other miscellaneous duties as required. Experience Experience working with patients in clinical or research setting required. Experience educating or consenting patients required.
