Maintenance Mechanic

Description:
Position Summary Under general supervision, performs pro-active maintenance, repairs and inspections to facility and equipment in assigned areas. Core Duties and Responsibilities --- ------Exhibits basic knowledge of mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems --- ------Performs general repair on mechanical systems --- ------Ability to independently plan work assignments and effectively works with others as needed --- ------Performs preventative maintenance and documents records accordingly --- ------Performs basic repairs to electrical, mechanical, plumbing, hospital beds and stretchers and documents accordingly --- ------Orders supplies materials and maintenance --- ------Tests equipment for proper operation and working condition --- ------Adheres to all safety policies and procedures Qualifications --- ------High School or Vo-Tech Graduate or equivalent experience --- ------Valid NJ Driver's License --- ------Building maintenance and repair experience preferred --- ------Ability to read and understand blueprints and electrical schematics --- ------Must be able to walk and stand for extended periods with the physical strength to lift heavy objects, carts, or items frequently Additional information --- ------To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
