WHO WE ARE At Tulsa Honor Academy (THA), we are on a mission to equip all scholars with the academic skills, content knowledge, and ethical character required for college graduation and life success. We work relentlessly to ensure 100% of scholars are on a path to go to and graduate from a college of their choice, beginning in the fifth grade. Opening our doors in 2015 with 92 fifth grade scholars, THA will grow to serve over 1,300 scholars in grades 5-12 across our two campuses in the 2024-2025 academic year. WHAT YOU’LL DO Tulsa Honor Academy’s Senior Director of Development focuses on a key driver of THA’s financial sustainability. The Senior Director of Development will drive the strategy and execution of fund development, including grant writing, individual donor campaigns, and fundraising events. This includes research, identification, cultivation, solicitation and stewardship of all gifts. All strategies are guided by the goal to exceed THA’s annual fundraising goals. Grant Writing: The Senior Director of Development sources, writes, and completes applications and reports for all grants. Internal Fundraisers: The Senior Director of Development oversees the approval and execution of all internal fundraisers. Fundraising Events: The Senior Director of Development plans, coordinates, and secures sponsors for THA’s annual fundraising events. Communications: The Senior Director of Development is responsible for the creation of materials necessary for fundraising, including publications, one-pagers, meeting materials, etc. in line with THA’s brand. Donor Relations: The Senior Director of Development cultivates and sustains strong relationships with current and prospective donors. THE DETAILS Qualifications/Certifications Bachelor’s degree required Experience 2 years of relevant experience as a fundraising professional is required, 5 years of relevant experience as fundraising professional is preferred Proven track record (with you as the primary driver) of raising $1,000,000+ annually is required. Familiarity with Tulsa’s fundraising landscape and/or the national education fundraising landscape is highly preferred Experience in fundraising, grant writing, communications, and community engagement is highly preferred Education experience is preferred Role Reporting to the Chief of Staff, the Senior Director of Development will be the primary driver for meeting fundraising targets of $2-5 million annually. Full time, year round, exempt. Compensation and Benefits THA’s starting salary range for Directors begins at $75,000. Salary is commensurate with experience in the education field.
